Wooster, Ohio - Grady Johnson's 11th-inning, three-run homer in game two of DePauw's North Coast Athletic Conference doubleheader at Wooster gave the Tigers a 13-10 win and a sweep of the twinbill after a 13-1 victory in the first game. DePauw improved to 17-10 overall and 7-1 in the NCAC, while the Fighting Scots dropped to 13-17 overall and 3-9 in conference play.

In the opener, the Tigers built an 8-0 lead with six runs in the third and two more in the fourth before Wooster scored its lone run in the bottom of the fourth. DePauwadded one in the fifth, three in the sixth and one more in the seventh to pick up the win with the run-rule.

Johnson had three of DePauw's 14 hits, while Louis Florida, Cameron Macon, Ty Sucher and Aidan Howard each had two hits. Florida led the Tigers with four RBI including two on a fourth-inning two-run homer.

Leo Widtmann had two of Wooster's three hits.

Michael Vallone improved to 6-0 after striking out a career-high 14 and walking just two in 7.0 innings. His 284 career strikeouts broke the NCAC mark of 282 by Curt Moenter of Ohio Wesleyan (1999-2002). Corey Knauf dropped to 4-3.

Wooster took a 2-0 lead in the first inning of game two before Hunter Hrbek evened the count with a two-run homer in the second. The hosts scored five unearned runs in the second to take a 7-2 lead.

DePauwcame right back with a four-run third before the Fighting Scots added two in the fifth and one in the sixth to extend the lead to 10-6. The Tigers evened the score in the eighth as Florida had an RBI single before Danny Glimco knocked in a pair with a double and Carter Knoll plated one with a single.

Each team left two on base in the 10th before Aidan Howard led off the DePauw 11th by being hit by a pitch. Max Bond moved pinch-runner Jack Murray to second with a bunt before Florida was hit by a pitch. Johnson then delivered a two-out, three-run homer to right center.

Wooster had runners on second and third in the bottom of the 11th, but a strikeout ended the rally.

Florida, Glimco and Hrbekeach had three of DePauw's 18 hits with Macon, Johnson and Knoll each finishing with two.

Ryan Kramer, Zack Barienbrock and John Pastares each had three of Wooster's 13 hits.

Charlie Hawk improved to 2-2 after pitching four innings of scoreless relief. Barienbrock dropped to 0-1.

DePauw travels to second-ranked Denison tomorrow for a 2 p.m. NCAC doubleheader.
