When and what did you really study last time? How important do you find studying in your life? Are you doing it continuously or every now and then according to your interest or need or desires?Actively being consious about continuous development and evolution in personal and professional level are now taking the next fascinating steps forward in my life. One of the top30 Executive MBA -Global programs started a few days ago at Henley Business School Finland in London campus in Henley Business School I Could not be more exited about this journey that will be such an interesting ride with global "studying fellows". Strategy, Leadership, Processes, Finances.... so many modules that will entail lots of hours and dedication, commitment, emotions, travelling, questioning and reflecting, reviewing, rewriting... This all is about stretching my own awareness, thinking, being, knowledge, skillset, understanding, acting and behaviour, new habits while also building a global strategy for our company, creating and leaning on to global network and team, plus putting it all into action for becoming a better globally operating leader and succesful business owner, in our terms.Thankful. #emba #henley #business #womeninbusiness #development #transformation #global #ownit #change #growth #takeaction #vision #courage #learning #education

Yesterday I submitted the final assignment of my global executive MBA, marking the end of a chapter.It’s been an incredible experience.I’ve met some wonderful people, stretched my thinking beyond the point of comfort, and I’ve come out the other side a more rounded leader with hugely improved ability to think critically.Some personal reflections… Over the last few years, I sadly lost confidence in my own ability; my MBA achievement has taught me that in business I know more than I give myself credit for and that my moral compass and passion for achievement remain my strongest assets, with the guardrails of modern business theory. I’ve also recovered my love for financial leadership and I’m excited to put my new knowledge into practice to help Red Flag Alert on our growth journey.My five key academic takeaways (and it’s not rocket science!): (1)Everything boils down to value creation; if you’re not creating value, why are you bothering?(2)Strategy is not a vision or a set of objectives in a pretty PowerPoint document; strategy is about truly understanding what you are about and why; then establishing how you will use that to compete and win!(3)But strategy is a waste of time and effort if you can’t execute it, and all the theory in the world won’t help you; effective leadership, good team dynamics, solid change management and commitment to investment is essential for strategic execution.(4)Understanding how you manage for today whilst building for tomorrow is essential to longevity.Businesses that don’t innovate will likely die, so don’t penny-pinch from R&D.(5)Ethical decision-making and consideration of the long-term environmental and social impacts of business activities are integral to creating sustainable value.The University of Manchester, it’s been a blast and see you at graduation!

It wasn't just academic but a practical guide for reshaping my professional operations.🌐 At the outset, I pondered the success stories of heroes in our company, wondering why specific individuals navigated client interactions and projects with such finesse. Reading "Questions are the Answer" by Hal Gregersen prompted a cascade of "Whys." Why did they excel? Why the claims with certain entities? The LPO course provided practical answers, urging me to ask the right questions to decode and address challenges effectively.💡 Then came "The Culture Map," by Erin Meyer an epiphany that answered lingering questions. Those victorious figures weren't endowed with unique abilities; they understood how to navigate clashes by embracing cultural nuances. It was clear - the missing link was cultural intelligence.🌍 Armed with these insights, I recently crafted a presentation that impressed and resonated with a culturally diverse client. The success was a testament to the practicality of LPO, cultural intelligence from "The Culture Map," and the power of asking the right questions.💪 Now, as we face the challenge of those experienced individuals leaving our organisation, it's time to initiate change. The LPO course, with insights from culture books and the practice of asking questions, is making a difference.
